"The production of traditional red brick requires coal, which produces sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide, and raw materials require a lot of clay. The aerated brick mainly uses tailings and other solid waste as raw materials, and autoclave is used in the production process, and coal is not burned According to the relevant person in charge of Guangyuan housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau, green building materials production not only realizes the reuse of waste, but also adopts non pollution production technology in the production process to realize energy conservation and emission reduction, which is the pillar industry of Guangyuan's key development.

At present, a large part of building materials products in Guangyuan City have entered the ranks of green building materials.

In Yuanjiaba Industrial Park, Yumeng photoelectric workshop is assembling "street lamps without electricity". "As long as there are 3.5 hours of light every day, the street lamps can be fully illuminated. If the solar energy can't keep up with it, there will be wind power as a supplement. In Huilonghe Industrial Park, Lizhou District, Guangyuan City, Haiju environmental protection is the first enterprise in Sichuan Province to obtain the three-star green building materials evaluation mark. At present, the prefabricated light steel integrated houses of the company are widely used in scenic spots in Northeast Sichuan, municipal public facilities construction and rural self built houses.

The empty car rate from Chengdu to Xi'an is high, so it is much cheaper to use freight cars to pull bricks to Xi'an on the return journey.

Relying on local resources and location advantages, there are 127 local registered building materials enterprises in Guangyuan City, which has spawned a number of local building materials enterprises such as steel structure components and external wall thermal insulation materials. In 2019, the output value of building materials enterprises in Guangyuan reached 36, with a year-on-year increase of 9%.

"The development of green building materials industry can meet the needs of new urbanization construction and building energy conservation, and is an important industry for the transformation and upgrading of building materials industry."
